Data and reports catalogue
Start with the original record, its context and its sources before using its data.
This guide links to published collections and available report files. It is not an openly licensed dataset and does not provide bulk downloads of personal records.
Published collections
- Search the archive: search published records and open each result’s source page.
- Reports and decisions: report records with original files and references where available.
- Massacres and events: event records, their context and the dates stated within them.
Accessing report files
Open a report record and choose “Open original report (PDF)” when a linked file is available. Save it using your browser’s PDF viewer. Some records do not include a downloadable file.
Retain the report title, publisher, source URL and access date. Check the terms within each file. Availability on this website does not automatically grant permission to republish or modify it.
Understanding coverage and dates
Result counts describe records available in the selected collection and language, not an estimate of total victims or events. Arabic and English coverage may differ. Do not add the two counts together or assume that their records match one-to-one.
An archive date is not necessarily an event date. Use the explicitly labelled date inside the record and retain any uncertainty or missing information. Published regional names are not precise geographic coordinates.
Requesting data for research
To enquire about data not available for download, contact office@gigaza.org and describe:
- The research purpose, collection and date range.
- The fields you need and preferred file format.
- Your intended use, including any planned republication.
Do not send sensitive personal information or private lists in the initial message. Availability, licensing and redaction must be confirmed by the team before a dataset is supplied. An enquiry does not guarantee approval or a delivery date.
