The directory includes all published records in these three English-language categories, including records with unknown locations. Only records that can be assigned to a governorate appear in map totals.

For victims, a governorate may be derived from the recorded address; this does not establish where an incident occurred. Existing reviewed incident and facility locations are retained. Hospitals and buildings appear under war damage and facilities.

Unknown or ambiguous locations are not plotted. A missing marker or zero results does not mean that no events occurred. Arabic and English coverage differs because the published records differ.
